According to Radio France International
which broke out the news, Brahim Deby
Itno, son of Idriss Deby Itno,
dictator of Chad and advisor in charge
of infrastructure affairs for his father
has been sentenced in Paris, France to
six (6) months probation for illegal
possession of a firearm and possession
of 250g of marijuana and 2 g of cocaine.
The son of the Chadian despot got
arrested yesterday, June 2, 2006 in
Paris after a brawl in a Parisian night
club. After the condemnation of Brahim
Deby Itno by the French justice, the
Chadian presidency published a press
release distancing itself from what
RAMADJI.com calls
Brahimgate. The press released
put out by the Presidency of Chad
emphasized that Brahim Deby Itno is an
adult and therefore he is responsible of
his acts. No matter what the Chadian
regime tries to do to come out clean
after this shameful scandal,
Brahimgate proves once more that
the proverb that says 'As father as
son' finds all its meaning with all
the embarrassments the Chadian reigning
family has used us to. In fact, Idriss
Deby Itno himself is implicated to a
lengthy list of scandals including drug
smuggling, money laundering, rape,
pedophilia, …A number of heavy cases are
awaiting him when he will no longer be
covered by the immunity he is benefiting
from now. It’s one of the reasons he is
hanging urbi orbi to the
presidency despite his rejection by the
Chadian people. Poor Chad ran by a
hooligans and gangsters!
